We'll meet for an initial session to determine what you want out of therapy. I offer a safe, compassionate space where you can feel deeply heard and supported — meeting you exactly where you are.
I primarily use Internal Family Systems (IFS), a parts-work approach. Have you ever noticed different "parts" of you showing up at different times? Maybe there's a perfectionistic part, a part who doesn't feel motivated, an anxious part, or a hurt inner child — and then other parts that want those feelings to just go away.
In IFS, we understand that these parts develop over time to protect you. And importantly — there are no bad parts. Each one has a purpose. Together, we'll explore the parts present in your life, and you'll begin to connect more deeply with your core Self — the calm, confident, compassionate inner leader who can guide your life with greater peace and clarity.
When appropriate, I also integrate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help process traumatic memories and emotional blocks. Both IFS and EMDR are evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches that support lasting healing and personal growth.

I'm so glad you're here. I'm a Licensed Resident in Counseling with a genuine, compassionate approach to therapy. I bring over 20 years of experience in healthcare to my work and feel honored to support individuals on their journeys toward healing and self-discovery.
I work with teens, adults, and older adults facing challenges such as anxiety, trauma and PTSD, chronic illness, grief, and life transitions. I completed IFS training through the Internal Family Systems Institute and EMDR training through EMDRIA.
In addition to my counseling work, I am also a licensed Nurse Practitioner. While I do not provide medical care in this setting, my healthcare background gives me deep insight into the emotional and physical challenges that often accompany chronic illness, medical trauma, and complex health journeys.
"Jackie is an incredibly caring and effective therapist. The IFS work that we have done together really helped me heal. Her profound insights guided me to a deeper understanding of my thoughts and feelings. I will always be grateful to Jackie for helping me reach a healthier and happier place in my life."
"Jackie brings a great deal of life experience and education to her counseling practice. She offers empathy, reassurance, and connection during sessions. She helped me through my mother's illness and death and was such a reassuring light during that difficult time. Through her practice of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Jackie has also helped me affirm different parts of my personality and emotions, which is useful in dealing with the daily stressors of parenting."
We serve clients from Vienna, Tysons, McLean, Great Falls, and all of Northern Virginia. Can't make it in? Teletherapy is available for all Virginia residents.
